How much does CheapSign cost?

Every workspace gets 5 free signed documents each month. Beyond that you only pay for what you sign — there’s no mandatory monthly fee and no per-seat charge. Each month we automatically apply whichever plan is cheapest for your usage (a pay-as-you-go rate, or a higher-volume monthly plan), and show you what the next-best plan would have cost. Do you charge per user?

No — team members are unlimited and free. Invite your whole team into one workspace at no extra cost. We bill per workspace and per signed document, never per seat.

What counts as a “signed document”?

One document fully completed by all its signers counts as one signed document. Drafts, documents you’re still preparing, and documents that are never completed are not counted.

Do my signers need an account?

No. Your signers open a secure emailed link, review the document, and sign in their browser — on phone, tablet, or computer. No account, no app.

Are the signatures legally binding?

CheapSign produces a completed PDF with a full audit trail (who signed, when, and from where). Whether a given electronic signature is legally binding depends on your jurisdiction and the type of document — CheapSign is a tool, not legal advice.

How do I pay, and is it secure?

Payments are handled by Stripe. You enter your card on Stripe’s secure, PCI-compliant checkout — CheapSign never sees or stores your full card number. Manage your card, download invoices, or cancel anytime from the billing portal.

Can I invite my team?

Yes. In Settings → Users, invite teammates by email; they join your workspace and share the same free allowance and billing. There’s no per-seat fee.
