CheapSign

Terms of Service

Effective date: 15 July 2026

These Terms govern your use of CheapSign, an electronic document-signing service operated by Qalam Software (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use CheapSign.

1.The service

CheapSign lets you upload documents, place fields, and send them to one or more people to sign electronically, and produces a completed document with a signature audit trail. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

2.Eligibility & your account

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for your account, for keeping your password secure, and for all activity under your workspace, including members you invite. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

3.Free trial

Each workspace may complete one document at no charge to evaluate the service. After that, an active subscription is required to continue using CheapSign.

4.Subscription, pricing & billing

Payments are handled by Stripe (third-party processor)

All payments are collected and processed by Stripe Payments (stripe.com), our third-party payment processor. By subscribing:

5.Cancellation & refunds

You may cancel anytime from the billing portal. Cancellation stops future charges and access continues until the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, fees already charged (including metered usage) are non-refundable.

6.Acceptable use

You agree not to use CheapSign to: send unlawful, fraudulent, or infringing documents; forge or misrepresent a signer’s identity; distribute malware; violate others’ rights or privacy; or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service. We may suspend accounts that breach these rules.

7.Your documents & content

You retain all rights to the documents and data you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process and store them solely to provide the service. You are responsible for having the rights and consents needed to send a document to your signers.

8.Electronic signatures

CheapSign facilitates electronic signatures and records an audit trail. Whether a given electronic signature is legally binding depends on your jurisdiction and circumstances. You are responsible for ensuring e-signatures meet the legal requirements applicable to your documents. CheapSign is a tool, not legal advice.

9.Third-party services

The service relies on third parties including Stripe (payments), our hosting provider, and email delivery. Their availability and terms are outside our control.

10.Availability & warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

11.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Qalam Software will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

12.Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Qalam Software against claims arising from your documents, your use of the service, or your breach of these Terms.

13.Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or non-payment. On termination you may request an export of your documents within a reasonable period, after which they may be deleted.

14.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

15.Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which Qalam Software is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions: contact@qalamsoftware.com.
